Discuss in this thread ideas for potential other Coalition partners. Also include contacts, potentially sub-threads per partern to keep the contacts/discussions somewhat consolidated.

I met Anya Bogorad event coordinator at OMSI and told her about the summit. She was at the Science Festival where lots of vendors in the STEAM. I had a chance to talk to some about the coalition; they are all interested.

I forgot to mention that I also talked with Ashley DaSilva at the Oregon Science Olympiad org booth. I emailed her our information and invited her to join.

As mentioned at one of our meetings, the organization I learned of while attending the 2024 Hillsboro School District “Summer Summit” where participants “made a dance” from of a paragraph about the fall of the Berlin Wall is called the Right Brain Initiative / Arts for Learning

                    The Right Brain Inititiave

They have a really nicely produced Strategy Cards packet with a bunch of ideas / activities / reflection questions

I will update this post with the names of the two folks I met once I refind those notes!

Read through my notes a bit more from the HSD Summer Summit and found notes about the
                      Portland Metro STEM Partnership:
                      https://www.pdxstem.org/

Someone from there could be a possible BEW speaker, but I put in this category, for longer term potential.

The PSU Transportation Summer Camp was held in August 2025 https://trec.pdx.edu/summer-high-school-camp
Hosted at Portland State University since 2016, our week-long summer camp is free and open to any Oregon student entering the 9–12 grade. It offers an immersive introduction to transportation careers and the workings of transportation systems in Portland. Students will hear from guest speakers, develop data collection and STEM skills, and go on daily field trips.

Note: SP coalition member H. Heinzer (Daimler) sent his kiddos here, they had tours of Tri-met, tunnels, and others. Sounded very good.
